Fair is FAIR!

Miss Dear is my son's kindergarten teacher. And she has complained to me that my son will not answer her whenever she calls his name.

Miss Dear calls him John, which IS his given name.

I understand that... So I told her that all of his life he has been called by his nickname. And he thinks that's his name. But yes, I will surely talk to him again.

So I did talk to him. And this is my son's take on the situation...

"Daddy, fair is fair!" he insisted. "If I get to call her DEER. She gets to call me BEAR."
