Happy Birthday to Me!

Early this morning our three-year-old daughter was at our (locked) bedroom door calling us. She said, “Mama? Daddy?"

We didn't answer IMMEDIATELY, so she tried a different approach.

She yelled, "KNOCK, KNOCK!"

As I jumped out of bed and headed to the door, she sounded worried. She cried out for her best little red friend, "ELMO-O-O-O!"

I was opening the door when she hollered, "SOMEBODY, come sing Happy Birthday to me!"

Was it her birthday? No, but I thought it was funny how she came up with that, out of the blue!
